From the Hispanic rite to the Franco-Roman rite: musical notation and liturgical change

Silos Abbey MSS (BL Add. 30847, 30848, 30850) show "Visigothic" notation, suggesting a gradual shift from the Hispanic rite. Detailed study reveals a complex relationship, challenging previous assumptions.
